Nothing is original

As soon as you can accept that, the better. I don't mean that people shouldn't try to come up with their own ideas, just don't get too emotionally tied to them. This way when you see someone else has done it before your heart wont be broken.. During the pimp your palette contest I got really into embossing, and I feared that it was going to be just another hobby to add to the list and I'd be wasting my money... but then I had an Aha! moment.. I could use this to stamp my soap! Sure enough it worked beautifully, I just stuck the embossing stamp in the bottom of my mold, poured the soap, and when it was done I just needed to carefully pull the stamp out of the soap. It looks so fancy, but was very little work.

She definitely thought of this way before me.. but it doesn't mean that it wasn't a good idea, or that I shouldn't do it. It just is kind of frustrating.

Then I started watching all of her videos and got really excited about the idea of using water soluble paper. Here is an etsy seller that capitalizes on using this idea. Though I am sure it is against copyright using all of those images, it is still really cool. So if you are reading Kaila, please bring water soluble paper to TKB! I'm sure there are endless possibilities with the designs you could come up with, though you would be committed to using clear M&P..

Ok, there is my rant of the day :)
