I've gone palette crazy!

TKB just got in some new palettes, and I LOVE them.. It kinda annoys me when people say 'love, love, love' in their reviews, but I'm practically there. Here are some pics that I took of them:

I am very excited to work with these, but they are so pretty that I don't want to alter them too much (especially the pearl one!). I just realized that I need to stop using exclamation points! oops! I have tons of ideas, but for myself I really want to dupe Stila's Emeralds Smokey Eye Palette I love those colors, but I have a hard time bringing myself to buy any makeup unless I know I can't get it or make it myself. I don't know if I will have tons of time for the next couple weeks to work on this until school is out (most people are already out on summer break, but here we have school until the beginning of June! wahhh). I think I'm going to make the shadows first, then design around the colors I come up with. I have lots of ideas, we'll just see how well I can execute them.

Welcome to my Blog!

Not that I have anyone reading this yet, but welcome to my blog! I have finally taken the plunge and have started a blog. I hope it inspires me to start formulating more, or at least becomes a place where I can summarize my research so that I don't forget anything.

Today I have become really inspired. I am going to be in a contest hosted by tkbtrading.com to 'pimp' palettes. I wasn't sure if I wanted to join the contest, but now that I have spent some time brainstorming I am so excited! So as I finish stuff I will be probably making videos and posting them on youtube (maniac4micas), or perhaps here as well.

Another little piece of inspiration I had today was to start duping my mac eyeshadows. At first I thought to myself that it was silly to do this since I already have the colors, but I think it will be a really good exercise in color and formulating in general.. Plus then I can share some too :)

So that's it for now.. I have to get back to studying!
